There's a fine line between melody and experimentation in which Fabrizio Cacciamali rides. His ability to mesh pretty chord progressions with beat up circuit boards and atmospheric haze is a sought-after sound and skill. We'll be the first to say he's living it, not just copying it. This is a stunning collection of digital dabbles grounded in repetition and expanded upon in manipulation. The listener is taken to the exact fraction of time in which the machines fail. Everyone and everything, reset to presets. We are bound to devices and intangible connections. We leave a residual dust in our wake. Fabrizio Cacciamali focuses his microscope and extracts the tone. You live in the city but you're surrounded by Kobalt Trees. More info on the release page: http://astorbell.com/?release=kobalttrees

description -
This is the 2009 full length debut of the Dutch ambient band Dauw. This release includes the full "Bloedschrift" record, including a remastered version of the "Moordenaar" demo and the full 300 dpi artwork. Artist's comments: I've written and recorded this record between January and July of 2009. You can see this album as a loose concept album, because it depicts my mood at twelve separate moments in those months. None of the tracks has a title, because I want the tracks to tell the story, not the titles. That's also why I'm not going to tell anything else about the songs, just listen to them. As a bonus I remastered the “Moordenaar” Demo. For the artwork I wanted some paintings that have something to with the themes of the record. For the front cover I used Pieter Bruegel the Elder's “The Misanthropist”, because I can really identify with this beautiful humanist painting. It shows an old man, sick of the way things go in the world, so he chooses to turn his back to it all. As a final stab in the back a young thief, surrounded by the sacred cross steals his money. For the back cover I've chosen to use John Collier's “Lilith”, because, to me, she is the ultimate symbol of human nature. She was the first wife of Adam, but she was sent out of Eden by god, because she didn't obey God but let lust and free will guide her. That is why she's depicted with the snake. The inside cover shows “Forest Fire” by R.A. Blakelock and the tray card shows Caspar David Friedrich's “The Tree Of Crows”. These two paintings show nature in a dark yet romantic way. The beautiful tree, inhabited by crows and a forest burnt down, with only the strongest trees surviving.

This is something like what it felt like while I was seriously being brain entrained. It is a cartoon. This is devasting but shows the realities of how horrific it is to not have your own brainwaves to rely on -- they are being removed from my mental capacities and someone feeds their own brainwaves in to my mind, that have been copied from someone else's thinking ... horrific? To say the least ... I am trying to educate anyone who will take notice that these things are happening around the world as part of a multi-national corpoarte crime mob take-over of the earth! To emulsify our minds and take us as their slaves is the agenda of the New World order!!

Founded by American entrepreneur Preston Hammer and headquartered in Buenos Aires, SAMBA Development Group's "Seapoint" is one of the company's three projects in the exclusive, beach-resort town of Carilo, Argentina. This development, a complex of six interconnected buildings that are set on an elevated dune, is located just 50 meters from the beach and 4 blocks from Carilo's commercial district. Surrounded by a lush forest with towering pine trees, Seapoint was designed to naturally and harmoniously integrate into its environment. The complex has a total of 41 completely furnished apartments, many of which have ocean views. There are 3 studios, 11 one-bedroom units, 14 two-bedroom units, 6 two-bedroom duplexes and 7 three-bedroom duplexes. Seapoint is currently under construction and is expected to be completed in 2010.

Gully landforms proposed to have been caused by geologically-recent seepage and runoff of liquid water on Mars are found in the most unlikely places. They typically occur in areas that are quite cold, well below freezing all year round. Like the old adage about moss on trees, nearly all of them form on slopes that face away from sunlight. Most of the gullies occur at latitudes between 30 and 70. The highest latitude at which martian gullies have been found is around 70-75 S on the walls of pits developed in the south polar pitted plains. If you were at this same latitude on Earth, you would be in Antarctica. This region spends much of the winter--which lasts approximately 6 months on Mars--in darkness and at temperatures cold enough to freeze carbon dioxide (around -130C or -200F). Nevertheless, gullies with very sharp, deep, v-shaped channels are seen on the pit walls. Based upon the locations of the tops of the channels on the slope shown here, the inferred site of liquid seepage is located at a layer in the pit wall about 1/3 of the way down from the top of the MOC image. The channels start wide and taper downslope. The area above the channels is layered and has been eroded by mass movement dry avalanching of debris--to form a pattern of chutes and ridges on the upper slope of the pit wall. The top layer appears to have many boulders in it (each about the size of a small house), these boulders are left behind on the upper slopes of the pit wall as debris is removed. By March 16, 1961, enough work had been completed to formally dedicate the new NASA research center named in honor of America's great rocket innovator, Robert H. Goddard. Before the dedication ceremony actually took place, though, Goddard's always innovative employees were once again put to the test. A week before the event, the Secret Service told Goddard's Director of Administration, Mike Vaccaro, that he had to install a fence because President Kennedy might attend the dedication, and the campus was not secure. Although it rained for a week, Vaccaro found a contractor who worked 24 hours a day in the rain and mud cutting down trees and installing a chain link fence. But Vaccaro's troubles did not end there. Someone then noticed the Center did not have a flagpole. Vaccaro had three days to find one and still comply with government procurement regulations. An employee located a flagpole at a school that was closing down, and Vaccaro wrote a specification that described the pole so precisely that only the school could fit the bill. Workers moved the flagpole to the entrance gate?where it still stands today. Publication information: Please note that the image number assigned to this image is not an official NASA number. description -
While analyzing NASA Hubble Space Telescope images of the Sagittarius dwarf irregular galaxy (SagDIG), an international team of astronomers led by Simone Marchi, Yazan Momany, and Luigi Bedin were surprised to see the trail of a faint asteroid that had drifted across the field of view during the exposures. The trail is seen as a series of 13 reddish arcs on the right in this August 2003 Advanced Camera for Surveys image. As the Hubble telescope orbits around the Earth, and the Earth moves around the Sun, a nearby asteroid in our solar system will appear to move with respect to the vastly more distant background stars, due to an effect called parallax. It is somewhat similar to the effect you see from a moving car, in which trees by the side of the road appear to be moving much more rapidly than background objects at much larger distances. If the Hubble exposure were a continuous one, the asteroid trail would appear like a continuous wavy line. However, the exposure with Hubble's camera was actually broken up into more than a dozen separate exposures. After each exposure, the camera's shutter was closed while the image was transferred from the electronic detector into the camera's computer memory; this accounts for the many interruptions in the asteroid's trail. Since the trajectory of the Hubble spacecraft around the Earth is known very accurately, it is possible to triangulate the distance to the asteroid in a manner similar to that used by terrestrial surveyors. It turns out to be a previously unknown asteroid, located 169 million miles from Earth at the time of observation. The distance places the new object, most likely, in the main asteroid belt, lying between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. Based on the observed brightness of the asteroid, the astronomers estimate that it has a diameter of about 1.5 miles. The brightest stars in the picture (easily distinguished by the spikes radiating from their images, produced by optical effects within the telescope), are foreground stars lying within our own Milky Way galaxy. Their distances from Earth are typically a few thousand light-years. The faint, bluish SagDIG stars lie at about 3.5 million light-years (1.1 Megaparsecs) from us. Lastly, background galaxies (reddish/brown extended objects with spiral arms and halos) are located even further beyond SagDIG at several tens of millions parsecs away. There is thus a vast range of distances among the objects visible in this photo, ranging from about 169 million

SandusksceneS by Charles Rice Goff III 1 Newcolor Bomb 2 Euclid's Domesticity 3 Kauffman Stadium 4 Mantis Meal 5 Trip To The Fair 6 Unnatural Selections The six video presentations in this collection were produced by Charles Rice Goff III in Kansas City, Kansas, USA, in the summer and autumn of 2008. They were compiled together and released by Taped Rugs Productions on a DVDR entitled: "SandusksceneS" later in 2008. Goff is personally responsible for all photography, videography, video editing, and video effects. He also is responsible for the performing, recording, and producing of all of the soundtracks (except for "Newcolor Bomb", soundtrack by Goff/Dave Woycechowsky). In 2009, Rotcod Zzaj of the review site: "Improvijazzation Nation" commented on the production thusly: OK, Goff - there's no doubt about it - you've gone FAR TOO FAR this time... the descendants of Herbert (Hoover) have got you in their sights this time, no doubt... cruelty to MANtis'... on "Mantis Meal", you pretend to be playing nursery rhymes (albeit for Karloff films) and introduce our youngsters to cannibalistic scenes of one bug being eaten by the other.... pretty good parody of politicians, I thought, but entirely too graphic for malleable minds - oh, I see, that was the whole idea... make the IPOD gen-x-ers squirm with a dose of visual cruelty... ha! ha! ha! That "Trip To The Fair" gives a pretty good perspective on all us turkeys tied up in knots over the whirligig state of the economy, along with a snatch or 2 of "Animal Farm". Exit experiments in homemade sonic wonder that may not win a Grammy, but will have Granny in stitches as she watches. Excellent quality DVD for those not afraid to tackle the "same old scenes" you'd find in that town in Ohio with some new interpretations from Mr. Goff. I rate it as MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, to be sure! Some Specifics: 1 Newcolor Bomb: Psycho Anim Bomb Of Primary Colors: Crudely Fauvist, Roughly Cubist, Blurry Abstractionist, Modernly Expressionist. Soundtrack: "The Tumult" By Farces Wanna Mo, from the CD: CALM BLUE OCEAN (c 2006). This short film was created for the Farces Wanna Mo documentary about CALM BLUE OCEAN, produced by Dave Woycechowsky. 2 Euclid's Domesticity: An adventure in real estate, geometry, multitasking, and synesthesia. Houses, gardens, and neighborhoods blend into one melange of sonically shaded shadows, parallels and perpendiculars. All video shot in Kansas City. Soundtrack features Hello Kitty Stratocaster, Micro Moog

description -
This course covers the mathematical topics most directly related to computer science. Topics include: logic, relations, functions, basic set theory, countability and counting arguments, proof techniques, mathematical induction, graph theory, combinatorics, discrete probability, recursion, recurrence relations, and number theory. Emphasis is placed on providing a context for the application of the mathematics within computer science. The analysis of algorithms requires the ability to count the number of operations in an algorithm. Recursive algorithms in particular depend on the solution to a recurrence equation, and a proof of correctness by mathematical induction. The design of a digital circuit requires the knowledge of Boolean algebra. Software engineering uses sets, graphs, trees and other data structures. Number theory is at the heart of secure messaging systems and cryptography. Logic is used in AI research in theorem proving and in database query systems. Proofs by induction and the more general notions of mathematical proof are ubiquitous in theory of computation, compiler design and formal grammars. Probabilistic notions crop up in architectural trade-offs in hardware design. Instructor: Shai Simonson Text: Discrete Mathematics and its Applications, Rosen. Reference: Concrete Mathematics, Graham, Knuth and Patashnik Requirements: Four exams, seven problem sets, one research problem set.

description -
September 10, 2009 Aish Kodesh class, Nitzavim-Vayeilech Every holiday has a story associated with it. Tu BâAv is the Pegliash of Giva Tisha BâAv is Bar Kompza Rosh HaShannah is the Akeida Yom Kippur is the Ten Martyrs Sukkot: we lived in the Clouds of Glory, the story of Kohelet. King Solomon wrote this while he was homeless. The farewell address of Moses is linked with the Akeida because the stories discuss two different ways of taking leave of children/students. Relationships are about holding on and letting go. What are the ingredients of a good partnership, whether it is in marriage or business or anything else? Until this point, he was called Moshe Our Redeemer, and only after this point is he called Moshe Our Teacher. He is the only man in history to be called Our Teacher. [trf: everything in our lives, whether it is the interaction of our bodies with air and water or buying a loaf of bread or our thoughts, is relationship.] PONDER FOR FORTY YEARS: Moshe says: until now you have not had ears to hear and eyes to see. Torah says that you have to ponder the words of the teacher for forty years before you really understand them. Lishmo, deep integration of thoughts. The ideas are seeds growing inside. Forty is the number of inner-transformation. [trf: Moshe was on Mount Sinai for forty days.] Moshe taught for forty years in the desert until the Israelites could hear his teaching, and the Torah says that it was 1,000 years before they accepted the teaching. Rabbi Hoffman started studying with his teacher forty years ago. He has not forgotten what his teacher said because the words stay with him, maturing and ripening. His teacher did criticize him or give him advice, but taught him gently with stories. You have to be gentle to face your limitations. [trf: which pretty much describes the failure of some of my former teachers.] LEARNING: To learn we must do two things: Learn the Laws, the details rather than the general rules. If we learn only the laws, it is like seeing the trees and not the forest, we do not get the point of the laws. Learn How to Think, understand the general rules rather than the details, so when we look at a tree we see the roots, which are not really visible. The Talmud is a picture of the mind of Moshe. The mind of Moshe had the ability to see ambivalence with the understanding that it is not about choosing between holding on or letting go, but being able to hold on and let go at the same time. Channah, the mother of Samuel, had t

"Roof To Roof EP" is my second EP. I think that this EP should be categorized following genres... Chill-Out, Pop, Electro, Post-Rock, Indietronica, Down-Tempo, Acoustic, And so on. I hope you enjoy this EP. Thank you. 1. Rainbow, Puddle, Children I imaged the situation that children played in a puddle after rain had stopped. 2. Roof To Roof This tune's theme is "comfortable feeling". And, This tune have a lyric. However, The lyric is strange sentence. Because, It haven't personal pronoun. I want everybody to become a hero or heroine in this lyric. So, This lyric haven't such as " I, my, you, your he, she they...." And maybe, It is like a itemized form, I think. 3. Lumberjack In The Morning I imaged the situation that the lumberjack works near his log cabin in the morning. 4. At The Flowerbed Of My Garden This tune is like a "Pi Pi Pi" "Pipo Pipo" computer sounds. And, This tune was inspired by the day when I have planted forget-me-not in my flower bed with my grandma. 5. Talk With The Moon This tune is very calm. I image the full moon. 6. Street Trees This tune may be Indietronica sound. Download the Whole Release
This work is licenced under a Creative Commons Licence. Download the Whole Release

Let me know when their respective Foreign Aid agencies develop cooperation pacts and NATO is dissolved as no longer meaningful, which it already isn't, and finds itself continually redefining it's 'mission'. California Attorney General Jerry Brown is going to "downgrade" the "credit writing ratings" of the biggies in the credit rating game such as Standard & Poor's and Moody's Investors that set the stage for the state's mortgage nightmare with worthless ratings for companies writing NINJA mortgages and such. The subpoenas have been issued. The "new tobacco": Mayor of San Francisco Gavin Newsom has stated he will attempt to put a tax on soda in an effort to curb obesity in the city. The 'right side' in the US House of Representatives is attacking the ACORN community organization for alleged embezzlement, tax avoidance among other issues. This is NOT a nationwide organizational problem... most likely attributable to a few people or chapters, but the Right is in a frenzy over this Saul Alinsky style community self-service organization. That means ACORN MUST be doing something right... Six Italian soldiers were killed in a Kabul Afghanistan car bombing yesterday... description -
The days are slowly becoming shorter, the leaves on the trees begin to change their colour, the weather is getting colder, the autumn is approaching. We welcome you to the world of Soft Phase netlabel with our first release, which is a collaboration between two northern artists, Planet Boelex and Lisa’s antenna. The former you might know from the past releases on Monotonik and Kahvi Collective, and we’d suspect you might learn something about Lisa while listening to these songs. Enter Little World, journey into the mysterious sound universe full of soft and sensitive vocals, lyrics that’ll tell you little stories, backed up by the floating melodic atmospheres you’ve grown to expect from Planet Boelex. Perfect for taking with you, while walking in the misty autumn evening, watching the nature silently preparing for the coldness of the winter. Get yourself a nice cup of tea, sit comfortably and let Little World’s songs surround you with warmth and emotion. Additional credits: Mastering by Christopher Leary. Update May 2009: this is the remastered edition in 320Kbit quality.
